American Pewter with Burroughs is a series of six lithographs proposed by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, as a collaboration between Rauschenberg and Beat author William Burroughs.
Burroughs provided the text that Rauschenberg incorporated into the work by embossing to create a raised relief.
